The purpose of this group is to develop the ability of members to converse in French. Meetings are held on a roll over system every fortnight and although they are geared to French conversation we would like to make it more of a French group for people who enjoy France and trying to speak French. We welcome people from the experienced to those who are rusty or have a small knowledge but would enjoy stretching themselves further. Dictionaries are always at hand. Sometimes the meeting will be an afternoon one, other times we may have a lunch, or French supper, and we will also have meetings where we meet and watch a French DVD. Everything will be arranged one or two meetings ahead so that a forward agenda is prepared. We would like to grow the numbers and we feel this diversity will produce an interesting and enjoyable format. The French Group meets fortnightly, usually in Cromford, for two hours. Exact days and times vary, but can be ascertained from the group coordinator. |
