The purpose of the group is primarily to enable those with an interest in gardening to share their knowledge and experience with other like-minded amateur gardening enthusiasts, and to learn from them. Other activities include swapping plants, cuttings and seeds and visiting the gardens of other members. It is also intended to explore the possibilities of saving on the cost of composts, seeds, plug-plants, etc, through bulk buying. The group's coordinator is Diane Frosdick, who can be contacted by email by clicking on her name, or by telephone on 01629 593833. During the summer months the Gardening Group meets outdoors while visiting members' gardens or local Open Gardens. Please contact Diane Frosdick for details if necessary. During the winter the group meets in the Chapel Mews Room at St Elphin’s Park, Darley Dale, on the 1st Monday of each month from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. |
