The University of the Third Age operates through the existence of a range of Interest Groups, where people with like-minded interests can meet to share their expertise and pursue their common interests.
During its first three years of existence, the Matlock Area U3A has established over 25 such interest groups, although a small number of these have subsequently closed down for various reasons. At present there are 23 active groups, while several more have been suggested and are currently under consideration. Anyone interested in setting up a new group should follow the procedure described on the New Groups page on this web-site.
The following list shows those groups that are currently operational, together with the times when they normally meet. To find out more about any group either click on its name in this list, or select it from the Interest Groups menu on the left of every page.
